    my take on religion...

    One of the many reasons which have hold us back from achieving spiritual nirvana is this so called religion.

    So exactly what is religion???

    As of what I see, there are many different religions, all of them seem to appear different from others superficially but at the core they all are same… They are basically set of rules which we are suppose to follow to reach close to god… so there are people who follow this rules yet they are suffering… that's pretty strange !!!

    BTW this all so called religion & their rules have been put in place by some wise ass old farts that were as mortal as we are and may be some what less ignorant as we are today.

    Well at least it's really difficult for me to believe that the so called god gave Moses the Ten Commandments, the rules by which he wants his children to live and if they don't follow these rules then they have to face the music. God is supposed to be compassionate, but from this he seems to be like a dictator. It's like if u don't do this I'll fuck your happiness by throwing your teeny weeny ass in hell.

    I really feel that religion should not be organized, its something personal n it should let it be that way. The current form of organized religion is nothing but a way to enslave people spiritually and keep them in control. All religion say is that you need not search the truth, its already been found n you just need to have faith, faith in Jesus, faith in ram, faith in mahavira….

    Todays Religion is an medium to enslave ppl. Both god n devil r just a myth, so r heaven n hell. We r not special we r not unique. We r same old degrading n decomposing being like everything else. Religion is a tool used by rich n powerful to maintain their status quo. This becomes very clear from this phase from da bible "Blessed r da poor,bcoz they will inherit kingdom of god". Ppl r given false hope. Its Same as how carrot is hanged in front of da mule so it continues   with a hope of gettin a snack, but we know its just a deception. Poor n underprivileged r like da mule. They r made to live their lives in misery n to avoid ne revolt, they r told that they will inherit da kingdom of god...

    The struggle within : Finding the "I" in myself

    we are born alone and we all die alone, we are all born as an individual and die as an individual, but sadly we don't live as an individual. we try to form group and try to belong. we are afraid to be left alone.
    the group which we call society. to belong to this society we have to follow the norms of this society. this norms are made to securer the interest of the society. this interest of the society are secured by destroying the individuality of the person. if all the people start expressing their individuality, then it becomes a threat to the  existence of the society. we are trained to follow, trained by our parents, our teachers, our religious leaders, our political leaders... we are made into a slave. hand cuff are put on our hands and our legs our tied with chains. we don't realise this bondage as this are very rosy and society calls it relationships... we have to become a son, a husband , a father and in this process we start losing our individuality, we start living our lives the way others wants us to live and not the way WE want to live.

    as we are not living our lives according to our own individual will we tend to be sad, though on the surface we appear all happy, singing & dancing but at the crux of it we are really sad. Society has been so effective in destroying our individual selves that we are made to believe that we are happy and are blissfully unaware of our own misery. that's why we have so many people suffering from heart disease...

    Society has made sure that the individual within us is lost, our inner voice has been silent ed by all the commotion from our so called relatives who are directing us to live our life according to the society's will. we end up being miserable, we have all the worldly pleasures yet we don't feel content, we don't feel complete, we are suffering and are not at peace with our body & our soul.

    the only way to reincarnate the individual, the "I" in our self is by listening to our inner voice, presently we wont be able to listen to it as the voice may be very faint... we all need to discover our own promise land, doing things which we want to do and not what you could or should do.... that's when we will truly experience happiness and we'll be at peace with our self....

    Everything happens for a reason...

    Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away they were
    meant to be there...to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson,
    or to figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know
    who these people may be but you lock eyes with them and you know that
    very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

    And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible,
    painful, and unfair, but in reflection of you realize that without
    overcoming those obstacles you would never would realize your
    potential, strength, will power, or heart.

    Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means
    of luck. Illness, love, and lost moments of true greatness and sheer
    stupidity all acure to test limits of your soul. Without these small
    tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to
    know where safe and comfortable but dull and otterly pointless.

    The people you meet affect your life. The successes and the downfalls
    that you experience can create whom you are and the bad experiences
    can be learned from. In fact they are probably the most poignant and
    important ones. If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your
    heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and
    the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to.

    If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because
    they love you, but also because they are teaching you to love and open
    your heart and eyes to little things. Make everything count.
    Appreciate everything you possibly can, for you may never experience
    it again.

    Talk to people whom you have never talked to before and actually
    listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free, and set your sights
    high. Hold your head up because you have ever right to. Tell yourself
    you're a great individual and believe in yourself, no on else will
    believe in you. Create your own life and then go out and live it.

    Words of Wisdom

    Words Of Wisdom
    By Tom Karas

    Many of us have been told that practice makes perfect. Other people, mainly kids who suck at everything and cant succeed at the tasks given to them, have been told that nobodys perfect, and that they should keep trying. Well in my eyes, if practice makes perfect, and nobodys perfect, then why practice? Exactly.

    Have you ever considered that the good things that come to those who wait are just leftovers from the people that got there first? If you just sit there and wait, not many good things are going to happen. But on the other hand, if you go out and actually TRY to do something useful, you will usually benefit from it one way or another.

    Why do you get in trouble for blocking a fire exit when you're standing in the doorway? In case of a fire, wouldn't you run out too, therefore NOT blocking the exit? Some people just dont use common sense when they yell at you for doing these stupid little things. Its a shame of how completely brainless our modern day society is becoming.

    Why do teachers teach us that violence is not the answer and then have us read about wars in school that solved America's problems? I guess some teachers have their priorities mixed up. But its not their fault

    Since there is a rule that states "i" before "e" except after "c", wouldn't "science" be spelled wrong? Does this mean that what Mrs. Swenson has been teaching us isnt true? Someones got some explaining to do.

    If the handicapped bathrooms are for people who cant walk why do they put
    them at the end of the bathrooms? All of us healthy people have the stalls right up front, but the weak, disabled handicapped people have to go all the way to the back. It makes no sense at all. Im disappointed at the lack of judgment used amongst our fellow carpenters.

    How come stealing from one book is plagiarism, but stealing from many is research? Wouldnt they both be considered the same thing? I expect much more from The Government System of the United States of America, after all, they think they know it all and have absolutely everything under control. It just goes to show you how unorganized and unprofessional they are.

    Why do people use the term Happy Camper? Whats so fun about camping out in the woods, roughing it in the wilderness with no TV, video games, or Internet? To top it all off, what about those extremely annoying mosquitoes and other insects that crawl into your tent at night? Yea, that sounds like loads of fun.

    Videos and more at 60kph.com

    This is the biggest upload since 60kph.com found a home on the
    internet three years back. Lots to read, lots to personalise, lots to
    aspire to and lots to share.

    New Feature : We launch a new feature on the website - It's a heavy,
    juicy and fully loaded "Videos" section. For starters, it features the
    8 minute trailer of the travelogue 60kph produced with Dirtrack
    Productions - the award winning film "Riding Solo To The Top Of The
    World". Actually the best part is that we are willing to host your
    videos  too. Check out the website for more details.

    Our Rides: Anniversary special writer and one of the most gifted
    writers in 60kph, Vishu Shetty, writes about 60kph's fourth
    anniversary ride to Yana in South India.

    Paraj Shukla writes about his love for the lesser known places in the
    Himalayas - a combined orgy of adventure and spirituality along with
    those quiet moments.

    Photogallery: Images of Snow to the Jungles to the Backwaters and to
    the ruins of Hampi, the new upload has around 100 Images from all
    corners of India.

    Don't miss out on the Yana Photogal to catch the wilder side of
    60kphers, Usually we put our more sober side on the website, But for
    once, see our real identity :-)

    Wallpapers: Images from Gujarat, Karnataka, Arunachal, Kanyakumari,
    Sangla Valley and Karwar Bay. Probably the most diverse and lip
    smacking wallpaper upload till now!

    Experiences: Can a write-up be spine chilling and bone tickling at the
    same time? Read about Vishu's trek to the Yedakumari railway tracks to
    find out about baby pink feet in the bat land. It's surely lo ng but
    Vishu is not a man of few words. But we also agree that his blabbering
    is the best we have heard on this whole planet.

    Tips: A new article on planning a group ride has been uploaded. We
    thought this might help people riding to the mountains this season. If
    it does not help, please tell us so, we are very open minded :-)

    Last but not the least, please send us your valuable feedback; any
    creation requires appreciation, especially when 60kphers burn so much
    midnight oil in the age of rising fuel prices.

    With the growing website, we are hoping to hire a QC team (well, not
    really).  But in the meantime, we're banking on you guys to let us
    know any issues you stumble upon.

    To all those riding to the mountains this season, have a great ride
    and ride safe.

    Pleasures of Riding

    The pleasure is when you finish your day ride, and reach in one piece. You the smallest vehicle on the road, and you survived.

    The pleasure is when you take off your wristwatch, and see a band of untanned skin.

    The pleasure is when your motorcycle and you move as one single united form. Whatever shape the road takes, whichever end of the compass it leads to.

    The pleasure is when you use your hands, arms, thighs,
    knees and feet to steer.

    The pleasure is when you take off your riding jacket for a break, and feel the breeze dry your sweat.

    The pleasure is when you sing to yourself on an empty road. You are the world's best rock star.

    The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back, when the front wheel lifts, and you take your time bringing it back.

    The pleasure is when you cut through air, at 50 kph or 100.

    The pleasure is when you reach a place you never been
    before, and someone you never seen before asks you for a ride. And comes back grinning.

    The pleasure is when you wave to village kids, and they wave back.

    The pleasure is when you almost, almost fall. But dont

    The pleasure is when you fight the wind, and win.

    The pleasure is when you get up that narrow path for the
    view you never forget.

    The pleasure is when you view the world at an angle.

    The pleasure is when you eat bugs at 90 kph.

    The pleasure is when you look at a dust-streaked face in the mirror after a 500 km ride, and don't want to wash up.

    The pleasure is when your pillion moves with you.

    The pleasure is when you can see the petrol after a top-up.

    The pleasure is when your throttle hand has calluses.

    The pleasure is when you jump a speedbreaker.

    The pleasure is when you stop to help push a stranded car to the side of the road.

    The pleasure is when you stop at the smallest of towns, and somebody asks you technical specifications.

    The pleasure is when your book of roadmaps gets dog-eared, rain-splashed, tea-stained.

    The pleasure is when you give a stranger a lift.

    The pleasure is when you have battle-scars.

    The pleasure is when you can feel the cool morning and the
    hot afternoon, the light rain and the damp fog.

    The pleasure is when you leave four-wheeler traffic
    standing in a jam.

    The pleasure is when you aren't lulled by an air-conditioner.

    The pleasure is when you are free. Open. Independent.
    Liberated.

      Ride safe, Ride far , Ride often!

    Equation for Everything

    This is my equation for Everything!

    ( /= : opposite )

    First the basis of the equations is the equation for women.

    women= time * money
    time= money
    women= money * money
    women= money^2
    money = sqr root evil
    money^2 = evil
    women= evil
    evil = 666

    women= 666

    Now we use that to find the equation for men.

    men /= women
    women=evil
    men= good
    evil /= good
    666 = 1/666
    good= 0.0015

    men= 0.0015

    Apply those for love

    love = women * men
    love= 666 * 0.0015

    love = 0.999

    And Children

    children= women * men
    women * men = love
    children= love
    love= 0.999

    children= 0.999

    Apply all to Family

    Family= women + men + children
    Family= 666 + 0.0015 + 0.999

    Family = 667.005

    Eutopia world Time (using women equation)

    time = money
    money^2 = evil
    money^2 = 666
    money = 25.81
    time= 25.81 hrs a day
    24 * 365 = 8760 hrs a year
    8760/25.81 = 339 days a year
    time= 339 days a year
    339/12 = 28.28
    time= 28.28 days a month
    28.28/4 = 7.07
    time= 7.07 days a week

    Equation's for Life and death.

    life= good
    good= 0.0015

    life= 0.0015

    death /= life
    life= 0.0015
    death= 1/0.0015

    death= 666

    Equations of Hevan and Hell

    heaven = good + life
    0.0015 + 0.0015
    heaven = 0.003

    heaven= 2good

    Hell = evil + life
    666 + 0.0015

    Hell = 666.0015

    hell= bigger evil.

    and thats all i have.

    Excuses that Never Work

    Its again the time which all Engg students abhor... its assignment/report submission time...BTW  i think my prof's get some kind of a outlandish pleasure in giving last min assignments which have unrealistic deadlines

    Well here r some excuses which i suggest that u never use

    - I couldn't write it, I don't understand it, my hand just refused to write. I don't know what got into it, it was like it had a mind of its own, it just wouldn't respond to what I told it to do.

    - I couldn't find my mind... I was sure I had it backed up on a disk somewhere, but I just couldn't find it yesterday.

    - I'm afraid I simply had better things to do.

    - My dog looked so lonely yesterday, I didn't have the heart to leave him all alone, so I decided to spend some time with him. I lost track of time, and by the time I finally got to my assignments, I realised my dog had licked my hand so much that it had become paralyzed.

    - I had a very difficult choice to make: go to the beach with friends, or sit and complete my assignments. I chose to go to the beach, because my friends are more important to me than your assignments will ever be.

    - I did do it all, but before I got a chance to save, my book crashed and I lost it all.

    - My pen ran out of ink, so I went to buy another pen, but I got lost on my way back and eventually got taken home by a tourist who luckily had a map with him. By that time it was late, and I tried my pen but I found it was a dud, and I couldn't go back again or I would never find my way home.

    Strange deaths

    I'd just like to say i found this from the strange death site-therefore i'm citing my source an not plagerizing:

    Two Mexican peasant farmers, cousins aged 70 and 85, argued for years over water rights and finally faced off in an old-fashioned pistol duel in the western state of Jalisco on 8 March. The bodies of Manuel Orozco and Candelario Orozco were found 11ft ( 3.4m) apart with one bullet wound each and the two handguns nearby. The cousins, who were also brothers-in-law, had long debated ownership of a water spring that Candelario used to irrigate a small corn plot near the town of Pihuamo . The disagreement began to get out of hand when a water pipe broke recently. Reuters 11 Mar 2004.

    A 31-year-old computer game addict collapsed and died on 6 March at his screen in Chengdu in the western Chinese province of Sichuan, after playing the online game Saga for 20 hours, according to the South China Morning Post. He had Been playing the game regularly at the Internet cafe, where an employee said he would often play for more than 10 hours a day. The Press (Christchurch , NZ), 10 Mar 2004.

    Boonreung Bauchan, 34, who set a world record in 1998 by spending seven days locked up with poisonous snakes, was showing villagers a new cobra in the north-eastern Thai province of Si Sa Ket on 18 March when a deadly mamba bit him on the right elbow. He took herbal medicine and a shot of whisky and continued with the show until he collapsed. An epileptic, he went into convulsions, but no one took him to the hospital initially as they thought he was having a fit. He died in Praibung hospital the following day. Reuters, Associated Press 23 Mar 2004.

    A Russian who believed he was immortal after surviving a 10,000-volt electric shock in 1992 died after drinking anti-freeze. Dmitry Butakov, 42, invited journalists to Lipetsk to watch him survive the feat, but after his second half litre he collapsed into a coma and later died. London Eve. Standard, 31 Mar; Birmingham Eve. Mail, 1 April 2004.

    Thavky chaiya, 68, died in northern Thailand after eating a large amount of durian, a pungent fruit can overheat the body's metabolism. Villagers told The Nation newspaper that he suddenly called for water and then fell to the floor convulsing. He died on the way to hospital. Sydney Morning Herald, 4 June 2004.

    A 30-year-old swede died after being buried alive under a 13-ton pile of peas in a storage silo. He was working on an electrical installation on a farm near Mjolby in south-eastern Sweden when the peas were dumped on him. Rescue workers pulled him out but were unable to revive him. Reuters 14 Aug 2002.

    A man at a fish sauce factory in the Vietnamese coastal town of Phan Thiet , 118 miles (190km) northeast of Ho Chi Minh City , fell into a sauce tank on 21 October 2002. Four other workers, including the man's wife, tried to rescue him but were overcome by fumes from the fermenting fish. All five lay at the bottom of the 7.2ft (2.2m) tank for some time before being dragged out. One of the rescuers, a 34-year-old man, died after being taken to the Binh Thuan hospital. Reuters 22 Oct 2002.

    Seven Egyptian workers drowned in a vat of animal blood that they were cleaning up at a slaughter-house on 12 August 2003.

    The bodies of the men, aged 18-40, were found at a farm in Qweirah, outside the Red Sea port of Aqaba in Jordan . After the first worker fell in, each drowned trying to save the previous man. "The blood was thick and filled with clots," said a farm manager, "making it difficult to swim." Associated Press 13 Aug 2003.

    Victor Manola, 41, owner of Silver Sage Winery in Oliver , British Columbia , Canada , fell into a massive wine fermentation tank on 12 November 2002. His employee, winemaker Frank Supernak, 47, also fell into the tank while trying to rescue him. Both were overcome by fumes and drowned. Throttle Therapy

    Hello ppl !!
    Came across this real cool article on the net!! Check it out:)

    Throttle Therapy

    Did you know that motorcycling is also a fine mental exercise that sharpens a number of mental functions including the intelligence, physical co-ordination and overall alertness? At least this is the opinion of San Francisco-based licensed psycho-therapist Roger Lake, as well as any number of riders. You know the old saying, "You never see a motorcycle outside a shrink's office, unless it belongs to the shrink." Roger has been a rider for thirty years now, and he swears that using his two wheels to commute to work keeps him mentally alert and ready to deal with the many problems his clients need to discuss with him.

    In an interview for Cruiser Customizing News with yours truly, Roger said this of motorcycling, "Motorcycling keeps you awake, alive and attentive because it is a demanding type of sport. Except that in motorcycling the only team member is the one holding the handlebars. The thrill of the ride releases to the brain all sorts of chemicals that keep the rider healthy; it's an adrenaline rush that raises the functions of the mind to the next level. For group riders, it provides a strong bonding experience. Then, if there is any sort of near-encounter, the motorcyclist benefits from his own introspection because he must demand of himself, 'What is my part in this?'

    "Motorcycling clearly endows the rider with a sense of awe, even to the point of a spiritually-based awareness regarding the fragility of life, which is a healthy perspective. Riding demands an awareness that makes the rider live his life to the fullest simply because he knows that any moment could be his last. This sense of inner vision shared by riders is a very healthy, yet spiritual, point of view. Personally, I'm no different from any other rider. We all love our motorcycles."

    And how true it is! The other day while riding down Columbus Ave. in the right lane, I moved my head left to check the left lane of traffic. A pickup truck driver beside me on my left noticed my head movement and immediately braked to let me move over in front of him. Usually it takes turn signals, frantic arm movements and even grimaces to get cell-phone chatting drivers to notice a motorcyclist. So instead of taking the spot in front of the truck, I throttled down to his passenger side window, which was open. "Hey, man, do you ride?" I called in to his truck. "Sure do, bro'. Ride on." He responded, flashing a V sign. Here was a fine example of the sort of motorcyclist's alertness that psycho-analyst Roger Lake discusses above. It is an alertness that carries into other aspects of the motorcyclist's life, from driving a car or truck, for example, to all other daily affairs. This is the quality that separates riders from—well, excuse the expression—civilians.

    A friend of mine, a skilled rider from an early age, recalls that when he took his automobile driving license examination for the first time, the tester said to him, "I see that you ride a motorcycle." "How did you know?" My friend asked, dumbfounded. "Because you are alert," the tester responded. "I always know when I test a motorcyclist because they see the whole picture in front of them."
